Turkmenistan to Auction 42 State-Owned Assets

The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan has announced an auction for the sale of 42 state-owned assets.

The list of state property slated for privatization was published on Tuesday in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper. The auction is set to take place on April 17, 2024, on the digital platform for trading state property and through the mobile application of this platform.

Among the largest assets to be auctioned are a brick factory located in the village of Hendekli, Berzen, Danev district of the Lebap province, spanning 3,967 square meters; the Döwrebap shopping center (8,800 sq. m), a two-story building in the Lebap province; a pipe plant in the Dashoguz province (6,400 sq. m), and an administrative building of the Nur Zaman economic society in Ashgabat (4,300 sq. m).

The auction will also feature service sector properties, including shops, cafes, canteens, administrative buildings, and manufacturing facilities.

Turkmen citizens, citizens of foreign countries, as well as non-governmental legal entities of Turkmenistan and other countries, are eligible to participate in the auction in accordance with the established legislation.

Consultations on auction participation procedures and provision of additional information on privatization assets are conducted by the Department of Property Relations and Entrepreneurship Support of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the relevant departments of property relations and entrepreneurship support of the finance and economy departments of the regions and Ashgabat city.

All auction participants are provided with the opportunity to familiarize themselves with information about the privatization asset in advance. The disposal of state assets is carried out with all obligations.
