Job Purpose

Mechanic (Offshore) is subordinates to Mechanic Supervisor or as assigned.2. The workplace of the Mechanic (Offshore) is as assigned for by his discipline Supervisor, senior maintenance or superintendent at any block or Platform to perform a work following/ under the offshore jurisdiction. 3. Mechanic (Offshore) is appointed, moved and dismissed by order of the DOTL- Director Turkmenistan Operations as advised by Maintenance Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities

• Primary responsibility of the Offshore Mechanic is to maintain, inspect, repair, install function test and perform basic maintenance on all rotating offshore equipment , plant mechanic systems including all related tasks covering mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, stating, starting system and electro-hydraulic subsystems etc.
• Maintain records, update drawings, and develop safety practices at work.
• Check the condition of all equipment (technical inspection) while under operation record performances and analyse with the support of senior mechanics and supervisors.
• Actively participate in department technical actions closure and improvement plan of maintenance processes.
• Perform adequate equipment preservation for non-used equipment available at the facilities, record in CMMS accordingly.
•  Comply and Monitor the effective implementation and timely execution of the work assigned and direction given by the discipline supervisor and/ or senior mechanics.
• As applicable, to perform advanced periodic adjustment on equipment with the support of the senior mechanic.
• The SWI in use to maintain equipment, has to be the latest update, and all document shall be thoroughly completed during maintenance.
• Protect and monitor the technical condition of all tools used by mechanics, report any loss, misuse or bad condition.
• Work with the planners, keep assigned hand tools inventory up to date and look for stock levels of parts/components to be assigned for work orders in SAP.
• Performs maintenance recording feedback and completion of work orders in SAP as applicable and keeping the reporting up to date on the work orders assigned.
• Comply with PM plan as deployed on CMMS- SAP.
• Maintain equipment log book records on rotating equipment as per the local regulation.
• To participate actively in projects commissioning, start-ups and launch of technological units.
• Follow company requirements to execute equipment isolations for assigned tasks, observe strict safe practices at work, and follow the HSE, isolation, RA etc. and carry out duties according to the planned risk, location best practices, and local regulations Rules & Procedures.16.Liable for non-fulfilment (improper fulfilment) of their official duties provided for by this job description, within the limits determined by the labour legislation of Turkmenistan.

Eligibiltiy:

• Primary professional education.
• Five (5) years hands on experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, diagnosing and inspection of all type of rotating and static equipment in Oil and Gas or equivalent t industry. Relevance of experience will be determined based on similar equipment, procedures, and job functions. Additional related education maybe substituted for work experience.
• Good knowledge of Oil and Gas process facility processes, functions and maintenance is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of HSECES, familiar with safety critical equipment protocols and IPF maintenance procedures is an advantage.
• Computer knowledge skills
• English language is important and advantage.
