South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol will visit Turkmenistan next week.

As reported by Yonhap News Agency on Friday, the South Korean leader will embark on a state visit to Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan from June 10 to 15.

On Monday, Yoon Suk Yeol will arrive in Ashgabat and on the same day will hold a summit with President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The two leaders will discuss ways to expand cooperation between the countries, followed by participation in a memorandum of understanding signing ceremony and a joint press conference.

In March of this year, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting with representatives of business circles from the Republic of Korea. During the meeting, participants discussed matters related to the current state and future directions of bilateral cooperation.
