Henrik Hololei, Hors Classe Adviser at the Directorate-General for International Partnerships of the European Commission, emphasized the vast potential for enhancing collaboration between the European Union (EU) and Turkmenistan across various sectors, with a particular focus on mutual transportation.

During an interview with the Business Turkmenistan (BT) online platform at the Global Gateway Investors Forum Initiative in Brussels on January 29-30, Hololei highlighted Turkmenistan's favorable geographical location and modern transport infrastructure, notably the Turkmenbashi International Sea Port, as conducive factors for deepening cooperation in this area.

Hololei commended Turkmenistan's transport diplomacy concept and expressed confidence in its substantial contribution to the future evolution of interregional transport corridors.

The EU representative also underscored significant opportunities for collaboration between Turkmenistan and European companies. He cited Cargolux Company as an example, emphasizing its use of Turkmenistan as a major transportation hub. Hololei further stressed the potential to increase the involvement of European companies in the Turkmen market.

Henrik Hololei also noted that a primary objective of the Investors' Forum in Brussels was to foster stronger ties between companies and investors from Europe, Turkmenistan, and other interested countries.
