Turkmenistan Pardons 302 Convicts on International Day of Neutrality

Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed Decrees on pardoning 302 citizens, including six foreign residents, on the International Day of Neutrality during the Cabinet of Ministers meeting on Monday, the Turkmen official media reports.

The head of state directed the Secretary of the State Security Council, Defence Minister Begench Gundogdiyev, and the heads of law enforcement agencies to undertake the necessary actions to release the convicts and ensure their prompt reunion with their families.

The administration of provinces, districts and cities, along with other leaders, have received instructions to take the necessary measures to employ the individuals who have been granted amnesty.

During the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov also appointed new deputy foreign ministers.
