The American company Baker Hughes is a silver partner of the International Conference and Exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2023" (OGT 2023), which will be held October 25-27 in Ashgabat. Baker Hughes is a technology company that provides energy and industrial solutions worldwide.

Baker Hughes' diversified portfolio of equipment and services, spanning energy and industry, is currently represented by two operating segments. Oilfield Services and Equipment (OFSE) offers an extensive portfolio of services and equipment for the entire healthy life cycle, both onshore and offshore, and is actively working to achieve zero emissions. Industrial and Energy Technologies (IET) combines four areas: gas technology, industrial technology, climate technology solutions and industrial asset management. They cover everything from gas production to distribution, increase productivity in various sectors, decarbonise the power industry and other sectors, optimise operations and reduce costs.

Baker Hughes is actively working to address the energy transition by implementing practical solutions to reduce carbon emissions, helping their clients achieve their goals in this area. The company was among the first to commit 2019 to reducing its carbon footprint by 50 percent by 2030 and 100 percent by 2050.

In Turkmenistan, Baker Hughes explores and exploits oil and gas fields using safe and environmentally friendly technologies. They provide drilling services, reserve evaluation, field development, and supply turbocharger equipment for gas transmission. Baker Hughes is committed to making energy safer, cleaner and more efficient for people and the planet.

The three-day OGT 2023 forum will bring together national oil and gas leaders, heads of major international and financial organisations, and representatives of leading energy companies to discuss ways to achieve a methane-free future. Speakers confirmed to participate include Medhat M. Kamal, President of SPE; Elena Akoltseva, Vice President of Baker Hughes (Caspian Region); Saamir Elshihabi, Chief Executive Officer of COP 28 Energy Transition UAE; Marwa Hassan, Head of Global Business Development at SLB; Sharifa Khudobakhsh, Deputy Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan; and other leaders from international organisations and energy companies.

The event is organised by the State Concerns "Turkmengaz" (Turkmen Gas), "Turkmennebit" (Turkmen Oil), the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, and the State Corporation "Turkmengeologiya" (Turkmen Geology) in partnership with the Turkmen Forum HO and the support of the British company GaffneyCline.
