Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made a work trip to Ak Bugday district of Ahal province on Wednesday to learn more about the activities of the Bugdaýly tejribe-tohumçylyk Farming Association, the official Turkmen media reported.
The National Leader of Turkmenistan was met by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Annageldi Yazmyradov, who is in charge of the agricultural sector, Governor of Ahal province Yazmuhammet Gurbanov, Chairman of the CIS Intergovernmental Coordinating Council on Seed Production, President of the Seeds Association Ivan Kuzmin, Chairman of the Economic Department of military and law enforcement agencies Chary Amanov and scientists who arrived in Turkmenistan on a working visit.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov stressed that Turkmenistan pays much attention to modernization of the agro-industrial complex in accordance with today's requirements and best practices, strengthening food security and introduction of the latest achievements of science and innovative technologies in the industry. Ivan Kuzmin noted that all necessary conditions for productive work of farmers have been created in Turkmenistan.
Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan also talked to the renter of farming association, Ch. Annayev. The farmer said he was renting 28 hectares of land and intended to harvest about 40 centners of wheat from each hectare, planning to sell 112 tons of grain to the state.
The National Leader of the Turkmen people cut the first sheaf of ripe wheat. Wishing the farmer success in his work and a good harvest, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov handed over gifts for good work on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan.
Chairman of Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan stressed the need to develop international cooperation in the sphere of agro-industrial complex and use the best practices to increase the yield of crops.
