Chairman of the State Committee for the Construction of the City of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, Deryageldi Orazov, held a meeting in Seoul with Jin Hyun Hwan, First Vice Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Republic of Korea. The meeting emphasized advancing collaboration on smart cities and industrial infrastructure.
According to the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation. The sides underlined the potential application of advanced South Korean technologies in the implementation of the Arkadag City project.
During the visit, the Turkmen delegation toured several industrial facilities operated by leading South Korean companies.
Vice Minister Jin Hyun Hwan highlighted South Korea’s extensive experience and capabilities in industrial construction, expressing confidence in the successful continuation of joint efforts.
On April 18, the State Concern Turkmenhimiya and South Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction signed a Framework Agreement for the construction of a mineral fertilizer plant in Turkmenabat, with a total project value of $700 million.
