Turkmen Energy Investment Forum Kicked Off in Paris
The International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments in Turkmenistan's Energy Sector, April 24, 2024, Paris, France

The International Forum on Attracting Foreign Investments in Turkmenistan's Energy Sector (TEIF 2024) commenced on Wednesday in the capital of France, Paris, as reported by Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector e-newsletter.

On this occasion, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants of the event. He expressed his conviction that the current event would serve as a catalyst for successfully addressing tasks in the domestic oil and gas sector, attracting foreign capital to it, and activating mutually beneficial partnerships.

TEIF 2024 will discuss Turkmenistan's role in the future of global energy, new investment opportunities in the oil and gas sector, reducing emissions during hydrocarbon production, accelerating investment attraction in infrastructure projects, and the role of financial institutions in promoting clean energy projects.

The forum will also focus on attracting foreign investments in Caspian Sea hydrocarbon resources, optimizing mature field extraction, developing the Galkynysh gas field, constructing the TAPI pipeline, and new gas production. A separate session will address methane emission reduction, while participants will discuss opportunities in Turkmenistan's construction and transportation sectors.

The Paris forum will similarly concentrate on further attracting investments in the development of Turkmen offshore fields, with special attention given to Blocks 16, 21, 23, and 24.

The forum, with the participation of about 300 delegates, is organized by the state concerns Türkmengaz (Turkmen Gas) and Türkmennebit (Turkmen Petroleum) in cooperation with Turkmen Forum and the British company GaffneyCline.
