Deputy General Director of the Russian Railways (RZD), Vyacheslav Pavlovsky, has stated that RZD is prepared to support the electrification of Turkmenistan's railway infrastructure along the key route from Turkmenbashi to Turkmenabat.

According to TASS on Saturday, Pavlovsky emphasized that the company is also ready to offer a comprehensive approach to creating a regulatory framework for electrification and personnel training. Additionally, both parties have agreed on the reconstruction of a wagon repair plant in Gyzylarbat.

"In addition to the training program, Turkmen colleagues are scheduled to visit railway facilities in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and it is also possible for instructors from the Corporate University to travel to Turkmenistan," Pavlovsky added.

Furthermore, Lyudmila Renne, Deputy Head of the Department for Foreign Projects and International Cooperation at RZD, expressed support for the idea of reinstating the previously popular railway passenger route from Moscow to Ashgabat.
