Türkmengaz Signs $200M Petrofac Deal for Galkynysh Gas Operations

Türkmengaz (Tukmen Gas) State concern has signed a three-year, $200 million contract with Petrofac energy company to support the operation of the Galkynysh gas field.

As Petrofac announced in its Friday press release, the agreement includes providing personnel for monitoring and supporting operations and technical maintenance, offering technical support and procurement services, and developing and implementing management systems to support the efficient operation of the central technological installations of the Galkynysh gas field.

Located near the Yoloten district of Mary province, the facilities, now serviced by Petrofac, have an equal capacity of 10 billion cubic meters.

Nick Shorten, Chief Operating Officer of Petrofac's Asset Solutions, emphasized the company's pride in its history of collaboration with the Türkmengaz SC and expressed hope for further expansion of cooperation, contributing to enhanced safety and operational reliability.
