Azerbaijan recorded an import of 1.51 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas in 2023.
According to Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, the import of natural gas from Turkmenistan reflects a substantial increase of 77% compared to the previous year's figure of 857 million cubic meters.
The total value of the imported Turkmen natural gas to Azerbaijan throughout the year amounted to $218.22 million. This marks 96.8% surge compared to the corresponding figure in 2022, which stood at $110.87 million.
The trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan in 2023 reached $773.9 million.
