The Kazakh delegation conducted a business trip to Ashgabat from November 28 to December 2, 2023. During their discussions, the participants agreed to organise a business forum in Ashgabat next year with the contribution of Kazakhstani businesses, the News Central Asia reports.

During the negotiations, the sides discussed holding joint business forums along with other events and outlined several measures to strengthen cooperation between the entrepreneurs of the two countries.

During their visit, the delegation travelled to Mary, Ashgabat and Turkmenbashi, where they gained insights into various sectors and engaged in discussions about potential cooperation and partnerships. The delegation members expressed keen interest in fostering collaboration with local businesses and organisations in essential sectors such as industry, transport and logistics, agriculture and education.

The business mission primarily focused on several key subjects, including the development of transport corridors, the implementation of drip irrigation techniques in horticulture, the organisation of an interregional business forum and exhibition in the Avaza tourist zone, and fostering scientific and practical collaboration in the transport and logistics sectors.

Entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan also visited the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan (SCRMET), where they exchanged contacts with their Turkmen counterparts and expressed interest in joint work.

The Astana Diplomatic Club organised the business mission with the support of the Turkmenistan Embassy in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In early October, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of representatives of Kazakhstan with Turkmen business circles and representatives of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The visit resulted in the signing of preliminary agreements worth $3 million.
