The Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of Turkmenistan is working on creation of two gas-processing plants to produce polymer and multifunctional chemical products in the eastern and western regions of the country, the director of the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of Türkmengaz State Concern Bayramurad Pirniyazov said at the OGT 2023 International Investment Forum in Dubai, UAE.
The head of the Institute informed the participants of the event about Turkmenistan's achievements in the field of gas processing, namely creation of the necessary infrastructure with the use of high-technology solutions.
The State Concern also focuses on diversifying the range and volume of production for hydrogen, methanol, ammonia, carbamide, dimethyl ether, synthetic gasoline, and synthetic diesel fuel.
Currently, there are already several enterprises in operation within Turkmenistan, and construction of production facilities is projected to take place in the Lebap and Balkan provinces, where raw material reserves are plentiful.
