Erzurum, located in eastern Turkey, will host the Palandöken Economic Forum on April 26–27, 2025. The city has been named the Tourism Capital of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) for the year 2025, according to the Turkish Embassy in Turkmenistan.

The main theme of the forum will be " An Equitable Future in a Smart World: Intelligent Economies and Global Inequality." The event will bring together leading politicians, academics, and business leaders from ECO member states, as well as from the UK, USA, France, Switzerland, and the UAE.

The program will feature five main sessions and two special sessions focused on the impact of digital technologies and artificial intelligence on the global economy.

The forum aims to expand dialogue among nations and promote innovative approaches to sustainable development in the face of global challenges.

Additionally, in April this year, the first ministerial forum on sustainable development of the ECO will be held in the city of Arkadag.
