Turkmenistan to Increase Number of State Sponsored Hajj Pilgrimage Trips
The President of Turkmenistan instructed the government officials to increase the current number of subsidized hajj pilgrimage trips from 160 to 380 next year.

The President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed the Mufti office of the country and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to increase the current number of subsidized hajj pilgrimage trips from 160 to 380 next year.

During the Session of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday, Turkmen leader also gave instructions to organize flights for others who wish to perform hajj.

At the government meeting, state officials also discussed other social issues.

The Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Agamyradov noted that the implementation of concepts for the transition to 12-year secondary education system, for the development of a digital education system, and for the improvement of foreign education languages is underway.

The President noted that the all levels of teaching should be modernized by implementing high-quality electronic tools, e-books, e-seminars, as well as using appropriate methods, such as distance learning.

The Head of State stressed the importance of using advanced technologies in the work of the media and instructed to consider the possibility of modernizing print media.
