The Vice President for Medical Activities of the Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Oguljahan Atabayeva, met on Saturday in the city of Arkadag with the head of the UNICEF Representative Office in Turkmenistan, Jalpa Ratna. The parties discussed current cooperation and potential areas for further collaboration, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, it was noted that the joint work is yielding positive results, and there are significant opportunities for expanding cooperation. Special attention was given to issues related to the harmonious development of children and improving legislation to meet modern requirements.
Jalpa Ratna expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to meet with the leadership of the Foundation, which has gained high recognition not only in the region but also worldwide. She also noted the recent signing of bilateral agreements between UNICEF and several Turkmen ministries and organizations.
The UNICEF representative emphasized that the humanitarian activities of the Foundation, under the leadership of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, serve as an exemplary model for the world.
At the end of the meeting, the Vice President of the Foundation invited the leaders and staff of the UNICEF Representative Office to participate in the celebrations marking the fourth anniversary of the Charitable Foundation.
Founded in March 2021, the Charitable Foundation has been actively developing partnerships with international organizations of a similar profile. During its existence, the Foundation has provided assistance to children affected by natural disasters in various countries and has also ensured treatment for children in need in Turkmenistan.
